For this project, we were tasked with choosing a “Design Hero” and creating a magazine that showcases and reflects their style/work, as well as an art piece inspired by them. I chose Jessica Walsh, I felt really inspired, and honestly a little intimidated by, Jessica’s design work. I really love how evocative, opinionated, and outside of the box her work is as a whole. In my wildest dreams, I am as accomplished of a designer and creative as she is. From what I read, she is the founder and creative director of &Walsh, which is also one of the few (0.1%) of creative agencies founded by a woman. I really love how she uses prop/photo styling, photography, motion graphics, etc in her work. For my art piece, I illustrated a still life she created and added some of my own pieces to it.
